Property/Bankruptcy Search
We have online facilities to carryout the following searches:-
Property Search - £10 + disbursements (£3 per search). Usually at least 2 required.
We are able to carry out property searches either individually or in bulk. This enables us to check whether a debtor owns his/her property. We can also do an additional check to ascertain whether the property is subject to any existing securities.
Bankruptcy Search - Free of Charge
We can check the Accountant in Bankruptcy Insolvency register to ascertain whether the debtor is already bankrupt.
Inhibitions Search - Disbursements costs of £3 per search (2 searches may be required)
We can check whether there are any outstanding Inhibitions against the debtor. An Inhibition stops a debtor from granting clear title in any heritable property transaction. Accordingly, it has the effect of preventing the debtor from granting a subsequent security or selling his heritable property until the Inhibition is discharged.
